33 Pieces of Chocolate

33 Chocolates is pocket-sized!Pocket-Sized, Yet Powerful

33 Pieces of Chocolate is a chocolate journal that provides an easy way to record tasting notes in a small, convenient notebook format.

Designed for Speed

This chocolate journal is designed for ease of use. It’s tough to hold a notepad in one hand, a pencil in the other, and have another hand left for your bar of single-origin, 90% cacao Madagascar. Taking notes with 33 Chocolates is as simple as checking a few boxes and entering a few basic facts.

A flavor wheel is a chart designed to make recording chocolate flavors a quick, visual experience

The flavor wheel in 33 Chocolates can be used to quickly recall a chocolate's unique flavor long after consumption. For low values of the flavor, fill in dots near the wheel’s center.

Secret Ingredient

A teeny, tiny amount of drinking chocolate is added to the ink in each new edition, which is cryptically noted on the back.

Eco-Friendly

33 Chocolates is made with 100% recycled papers sourced in the Pacific Northwest. Interior pages are 100% post-consumer recycled content and covers are 85% post-consumer recycled content and 15% recycled content. The booklets are printed using US-grown soy-based inks in sunny Portland, Oregon.

Fun, handy journal to chronicle my chocolate exporations

I received this journal as part of a Bar and Cocoa gift box of chocolates from around the world. I am a huge fan of chocolate, particularly very dark, single origin, and hand-crafted varieties. I'm also a scientist, so I love the idea of recording my observations. It's a great way to make me slow down and pay attention to my senses as I record the look, sound (snap), smell and taste. I'll likely be back here soon to buy another after filling up my first journal. :)

Giving purpose to my dietary limitations

I recently learned I was allergic to dairy - almost makes life not worth living as I loooooove cheese.
saw this little book at the Videri Chocolate Factory and decided to funnel my obsessions in a new direction. Dark chocolates don't have milk. Finding a great, tasty, silky, non-waxy-dry dark is a quest.
Recording each slow tasting adventure in this book gives me great pleasure. I've found some amazing chocolates and now I can remember what they were, why I like them, and where I found them.
And - it's just plain cool.
