33 Bottles of Olive Oil
$6.00
Powerful, Yet Pocket-Sized
33 Olive Oils is an olive oil tasting journal that provides an easy way to record tasting notes in a small, convenient notebook format.
Designed for Speed
This olive oil diary is designed for ease of use. It’s tough to hold a notepad in one hand, a pencil in the other, and have another hand left for your nosing glass. Taking notes with 33 Olive Oils is as simple as checking a few boxes and entering a few basic facts.
33 Olive Oils’ unique flavor wheel can be used to quickly recall an oil’s flavor long after consumption. For low values of a flavor, mark a dot near the wheel’s center. 16 common flavors and aromas are included on the wheel. A single varietal, mid-harvest Picual olive oil from California is used in the example shown.
Secret Ingredient
A teeny, tiny amount of real olive oil is added to the ink in each new edition, which is cryptically noted on the back.
Eco-Friendly
33 Olive Oils is made with 100% recycled papers sourced in the Pacific Northwest. Interior pages are 100% post-consumer recycled content and covers are 85% post-consumer recycled content and 15% recycled content. The booklets are printed using US-grown soy-based inks in sunny Portland, Oregon.
Special thanks to my friends at the California Olive Oil Council for pushing me to pursue this project, and all their help in both development and testing, especially Wendy Winters and Kathryn Tomajan. Liz Tagami of Lucero Olive Oil and Alexandra Kicenik Devarenne of the Extra Virgin Alliance provided further inspiration and feedback, for which I am incredibly grateful.
