Popular Peppers Letterpress Print
$30.00
A Print Designed to Impress
Popular Peppers (of Mexico and Beyond) is hand-printed on 100% recycled, chlorine-free French brand paper, made in Niles, MI, and run through my 1909 Chandler & Price printing press three times, giving it a rustic, one-of-a-kind quality you just can't fake. The vibrant, three-color print pops like the tiny Chiltepin pepper, the smallest on this 12 x 18 print (31 x 46 cm), but impresses like the mighty Chilaca pepper.
This print explains it all in a frameable print that's perfect for hanging in your kitchen or cocina. It features ten peppers native to the Americas, listing their origins, spice level, and a brief bit of history.
It makes the perfect gift for the pepperhead in your life, and pairs perfectly with a my hot sauce journal, 33 Bottles of Hot Sauce, or 33 Tacos, my taco-tasting journal.
Barrel-Aged ... and -Framed
This print is available in a bespoke frame manufactured by yours truly from upcycled whiskey and/or wine barrels. Each one is a bit different, and makes for a great conversation starter. With this option, prints are matted and secured behind an archival, USA-made mat and backerboard and postman-proof UV-resistant acrylic sheet.
Please note that barrel frames cannot be shipped to Australia or New Zealand due to import restrictions on wood products.
Fresh-Pressed in Portland
This open-edition print was printed by hand, with love, on a gluten-powered, 1909 Chandler & Price letterpress using mostly soy-based inks.
American-made French Paper
The poster is printed on 100% recycled (30% PCW), acid- and chlorine-free French brand paper, made in Niles, Michigan. If you're as geeky about paper as you are about peppers, you'll want to know that it's 125# Muscletone Starch White Cover Stock.
Special thanks to Heather Arndt Anderson for her feedback. Heather, a fellow Portlander, literally wrote the book on hot peppers!
